Did you know that some doctors are now giving a far more comprehensive medical for drivers over the age of 75, particularly in relation to mental ability. For example, you might be asked to count backwards from 100 in 7s. You may be given 5 words or sentences which you have to repeat later. Perhaps you will have to draw a clock or be asked about a current news item, etc etc. Just be prepared but don't worry about it. It can't be too bad as both the writer and his wife recently passed and they didn't find it stressful. Also, not all doctors seem to have got on the bandwagon yet, so you may be lucky.
